Join us in our mission: to enable low-income families and individuals obtain the skill, the knowledge, and the motivation to secure the opportunities needed for them to become fully self-sufficient. As a nonprofit organization, Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Agency is dependent upon volunteers and donors. Please consider sharing your time, your talents and your treasures with us and your neighbors in need in Fairfield County.
Donations are a key component.
Monetary, clothing and household item donations are appreciated and help us better serve our clients. Donations are tax-deductible. To make any donation to LFCAA, visit us between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at 1743 East Main Street, Lancaster; call us at 740-653-4146; send checks via mail; or click on the Donate Here button on this Website. If you have clothing or household items to donate but are unable to come during regular hours, please call to discuss options.
Check or cash donations can be designated for a specific project or need, or, if not specified will be used at the discretion of the Executive Director for client assistance.
LFCAA has a volunteer-run Clothing Pantry that serves individuals of all ages and sizes. All gently used and new clothing donations are appreciated.
- Household Items
An area of our Choice Food Pantry is dedicated to housewares. New and gently used kitchenware, bedding, home décor and other items help clients avoid spending money in-store on these items and in turn use their limited funds for other needs.
In addition to these donations, gift cards and baskets and other new items are accepted each year for inclusion in the Lancaster-Fairfield Community Action Annual Dinner fund-raiser. During that event, a silent auction and raffles are conducted to raise funds toward our mission. For more information, see the 2018 Sponsor Auction Form and/or call (740) 653-4146, and ask for the LFCAA Planner.
