Housing Assistance & Supports for Youth (HASFY)
HASFY provides services to unaccompanied young people ages 14-24 who are experiencing or at immediate risk of homelessness in Fairfield, Licking, Knox, Coshocton, Holmes and Muskingum counties.
Services include direct assistance and referrals to address immediate needs and to meet goals for housing, physical & behavioral health, education & employment, and social & community connections.
HASFY has been funded by Ohio Department of Health since 2020. A grant from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development’s (HUD’s) Youth Homeless Demonstration Program (YHDP) has expanded services with funding for short-term intensive crisis response assistance. HASFY connects young people to a broad range of housing opportunities, including partnering YHDP project providing a Transitional Housing and Rapid Rehousing program through Licking County Coalition for Housing.
The Region 9 Youth Action Board is supported by HASFY and provides leadership development opportunities for young people with lived experience of homelessness. These young leaders strengthen local services by informing program planning, implementation, and evaluation with the lived experience and leadership of representatives of the people being served.
