LFCAA serves as the Lead Agency for Region 9 and is responsible for administering the Homeless Crisis Response Program (HCRP) funds. HCRP funds can provide homeless prevention and rapid re-housing services for individuals who are currently homeless or are at imminent risk of becoming homeless.

LFCAA also operates the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program to provide housing assistance and case management to reduce the risk of homelessness for a vulnerable population and increase access to appropriate healthcare and other supports to households with one or more members diagnosed with AIDS / HIV.
